Sharm el Sheikh is the capital of Egyptian tourism, located in the south of the Sinai Peninsula, on the Red Sea. It has become an international event zone and one of the main tourist destinations in Egypt.
The Sharm el-Sheikh holiday has gained worldwide fame thanks to the many Middle East peace and economic conferences organised here. Trips to Sharm el Sheikh can be spent in many hotels - they stretch from Nabq bay in the north to Um-Said in the south. The central point is Naama Bay with pedestrianised streets, shops, restaurants and bars.
Sharm el Sheikh organises, among others, one-day trips to Israel, Jordan and the monastery of St. Catherine and Mount Sinai. There are beautiful coral reefs to be visited just off the coat around the resort. Due to these wonderful reefs located on the Ras Mohammed peninsula, trips to Sharm el Sheikh are mainly chosen by people who enjoy snorkelling and diving.
